Hard question because different rifles do different jobs.

My SKS is probably my "neatest" rifle with cool features like the integral bayonet and grenade launcher.

If I ever had to use one for other than sport shooting the AK would probably be my favorite.

I'm really impressed with my mosin, but for a historical rifle I'd have to pick the M1 Garand.

So really, I dunno lol

yea, when i posted that i had figured overall general.

I too think the sks is perhaps the neatest. and proobably the most practical of them all with all that you mentioned, plus distance accuracy.

The Mosin, is a great gun, especially for its price. but it is of course, a historical piece too. I dont know what i'd consider as my favorite historical rifle, except it would be a toss up between sniper rifles. either a k98 or mosin 91/30 sniper.

sport shooting, ak, ar, both are good, but very different. the ar is lighter, and way more configurable.. the ak, is just hearty.. doesnt matter what you do to it. it still shoots.
