All the branches have used them one point in time or another. But in WWII it was the standard issue knife for the USMC. As I'm sure you've noticed I've been on another WWII kick lately and I'd love to have one just for nostalgia.

The Army had a pretty cool trench knife as well during WWII.

And they are /k/ and operator approved!!!

K-Bar knives are cool. I do not own one but I do own a J. Adams MOD knife, as used by British special forces.
